Individual Therapy

A young pretty woman is lying on a couch at a psychologist's appointment in his office

Individual psychotherapy is a joint process between yourself and your therapist. Yet at the same time it is a journey from you in the present into the past and future.

The common goal in therapy is to develop and evolve who and where you are currently that improves your quality of life. Therapy is not so black and white as making everything better and advice seeking, in fact it is about learning tools/skills to help you in everyday life, foster positive change, develop a more robust understanding of yourself, address mental health concerns, overcoming concerns in day-to-day life.

Individual therapy can help all walks of life even those that resist and do not believe in the benefits.

There are a magnitude of benefits that individual psychotherapy can help with, ranging from

  • Grief and Death
  • Trauma/PTSD
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Anger
  • Stress
  • Abuse
  • Bullying

  • Life Transitions
  • Life Skills

Reading a list of bullet points may not provide you with the reassurance you require to take that third step, as the first step is you visiting this page and second is reading said points.

That being said, here at Christie Heart we want you to believe that change can occur not just from our words but from yourself that you are making a positive step in your life.
