Dialectical behavior therapy

Dialectical behaviour therapy focuses on building on strengths and focuses on the moment to moment daily activities of life and how a person can navigate life. The purpose of DBT is to teach individuals on how to cope with anxieties, stressors, emotions and other struggles instead of how to rid oneself of all of those feelings.

How can DBT help me?

Mindfulness: The skill to look for comfort and enjoyment even in moments of stress and busyness

Distress Tolerance: The ability to develop a higher threshold for discomfort and distress within one’s life.

Emotional Regulation: How to identify emotions and properly process the emotions in a healthy and effective manner.
